Trinity Lutheran School

December is a time for giving.  Here at Trinity, we have three main sources of income: Church contributions given by the families who attend Trinity’s church, tuition and fees given by our school families, and The Trinity Fund.

What is the Trinity Fund? The Trinity Fund was started in the fall of 2019 as a way to provide an additional excellence to our students beyond what tuition and fees could offer.  The money that is raised by the Trinity Fund each year is used for our students during that year.  It does not carry over to another year. It is our annual fund drive.

When we build our budget for each year we include some items that

are value-added and trust God for the resources through His people to make those things happen.  The funds raised the past two years have allowed us to provide:

  • high-speed fiber optic internet access on campus
  • devices like iPads and Chromebooks for all students in grades KDG – 7
  • new learning materials for teachers in all grades
  • financial aid for students in need
  • new programs to be started like art throughout the grade levels
  • support of teacher ideas for creating greater connecting points for our students
  • support of the performing arts and athletic programs, both of which used to rely solely on what they could raise during the course of a year

The Trinity Fund is designed to provide the excellence that develops the gifts, talents, and abilities of our students.  We have set lofty goals each year.  Goals that leave a lot of “God-room” in them, meaning they will only be reached by God touching the hearts of our Trinity family members.

Our 2021/2022 combined Trinity Fund Goal is $209,000.  To date, since we launched this year’s drive at the beginning of November we have raised just over $20,000.  Last year, by the end of the school year, we had raised $240,554 from an initial goal was $172,000.

You can give a one-time or a recurring gift to the Trinity Fund: General, Trinity Fund: Athletics, Trinity Fund: Performing Arts.  All gives are tax-deductible and may be given online: https://trinitybend.churchcenter.com/giving or mailed to Trinity Lutheran School, 2550 NE Butler Market Road, Bend, 97701.  Many donors use a company match plan to increase their gift.
More important than an amount is the number of participants.  We are hoping that every family will participate in this year’s Trinity Fund.  No gift is too small.

Thank you in advance for your partnership and your prayers.  I will give updates each week as we celebrate how God is letting His people be involved in His great work.

Please feel free to contact me at gregg.pinick@saints.org or by cell at 714-728-5054 if you have questions or concerns throughout the year.

Until next time…

be God’s,
