Alice in Wonderland Review – Perspective of a TLS parent

By Pinder Nordstrom - 6th and 9th-grade parent  November 16, 2017 I am always left in awe after having the privilege of seeing a performance at Trinity.  Seeing Alice In Wonderland, Jr was no different.  The show itself was amazing, to say the least.  Onstage every detail was well executed. The acting and singing by the characters, the music, the set design, the lighting, the dance choreography, the make-up, and the costumes all made for a flawless performance. As a parent, what...

We can not say THANK YOU enough to our volunteers.

“It’s easy to make a buck, it’s a lot tougher to make a difference.” - Tom Brokaw We can not say THANK YOU enough to our volunteers -- but a THANK YOU can brighten someone’s day, so don’t let the opportunity to say THANK YOU ever pass you by. At Trinity, we have some very special volunteers. It may be the family that comes in early in the morning, or right after school, to vacuum all the classrooms and hallways. It may be the person that stays late into the night working with our kids...

Veterans Day Chapel

This Saturday is Veterans Day and here at Trinity we know that means so much more than a day off from school. In honor of those who served for our freedom, students and staff spent the morning in a special chapel dedicated to thanking our creator for the brave men and women of our armed forces. We were blessed to be joined by several family members of our students, as well as honor some of our amazing staff who have served in the armed forces. Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Gilbert, an...

Saints for Pioneers – Raises over 12,000 dollars for LSA

A Note From our Principal On Monday, August 28, I came to school looking forward to meeting with staff all day. We had a full agenda of topics to complete, as it would be our last “official” meeting before the start of school. As I drove to school, I began to hear of the devastation that Hurricane Harvey leveled on the Houston area -- and later, as I scanned Facebook, I saw the damage that had occurred, specifically at Lutheran South Academy. This resonated with me, because like...

One Student, One Pig and a whole lot of God

It's been pretty hard to miss all the buzz happening about incoming 6th grader Ava Garus and her 4H pig, but just in case you didn't let's get you caught up. Like many of our students, Ava participated in 4H this year raising a pig. While at fair she passed a note to the auctioneer letting him know that all profit from her pig would be going to her cousin Marlo, who has been diagnosed with Rett Syndrome  (genetic neurological and developmental disorder that affects the way the brai...
